How come...

Bo:)ana

How come someone has it, and someone else doesn't. How is it that someone has great knowledge, and someone else has no opportunity to learn. How come some throw food in the trash, while others pray for it. How is it that some people are cold, and others are using clothes for dusting. How is it that for some people shopping is medicine, and for others it's just wishful thinking. How is it that in one country, a child cries for the laughter of another child in different one. How is it that war profiteers have become benefactors on paper, and paper is more important than deeds. How is it that we are not able to unite with our hearts, so others easily tear us apart through manipulation. How is it that we have advanced in the development of technology and war still exists? We have stagnated with goodness...

Where did we go wrong?

Dalai Lama once said, that we have wider highways but narrow horizons, we have taller buildings but shorter temper.

The technology that "brings us together" has actually had the greater effect of driving us apart, because we've forgotten how to communicate. We hear those who are far away, but we are deaf to those who are near. Can we use one without destroying the other or is human existence uniquely cursed?

We take air from nature, and then cut it for millions of skyscrapers. Often nothing is enough for us... 30 trillion "what's up" messages has been sent during the day, but 48% of people feel lonely and very unhappy. We have more certificates, but less common sense. More knowledge but also suppressed potential. There are fewer and fewer solutions to the problems we create ourselves. We have done so much, but we still don't know how to say thank you, sorry, I love you, I was wrong... Our ego is often bigger than the path of a rocket that leads to the moon, and we have reached that place also. Apparently, one step forward, three steps backward. It seems that our problem is balance, but in fact we have lost our compass.

How? That question will be asked by the children to whom we leave all that we have done. For some it is too late, while for others we have little time. How to start? "The problems we created, cannot be solved with the same way of thinking, we had when we created them." Albert Einstein, said it, and I completely agree. So, it's time for us to become humans in the true sense of the word, learn to think properly and ask ourselves, how?
