Be the unique opportunity in someone else's life

Bo:)ana

We have not come here to decide what is the value of someone's else life, we have come to make that same life more beautiful. These are the rare moments when equality is a common name for all of us. It doesn't matter who you are, where you live, your social status, what car you drive, how much money you have on your bank account, or your appearance. It is only important that you show solidarity and empathy for others, and if you have lost it due to different life circumstances, it is the perfect moment to find it again. Attempt, to at least briefly suppress the ego and arrogance of the times, we live on a micro-level, is a great success for all of humanity. Anxiety is there as a reminder, and justified fear as a warning. At the moment, when I'm writing this text, our lives have changed at a global level. We're not sure which role has been given to us. Are we actors in a Spanish serial, an American movie, maybe we're part of a French director's script, or are we're just part of a major experiment. It seems like a festival of a world cinema, sometimes like a candid camera and, at least, as reality. We have obeyed to the uncertainty. We became aware of our defiance, so now we have decided to respond positively to the threat that has knocked on our door. How much it will be willing to listen to us, depends on our speed of learning and implementation.

How difficult it would be for us to smile to the cashier, knowing that it would be our last time to see that person?

How difficult, it would be for us to, give the seat place on the bus to another person, knowing that it is the last chance for that?

How difficult it would be to help a blind person, to cross the street without thinking about how much we're in a rush at that same moment?

How difficult it would be for us to listen to the elderly in the waiting room because maybe they have no other interlocutor?

How difficult it would be for us to donate blood to all those who have only one wish, and how difficult it would be to send a text message, for all these people without doubting in the sincerity of donations.

How difficult would it be for us to say "thank you" to all those who make our everyday life more fulfilling?

How difficult would it be for us, if we knew that this is our last chance to do that?

The rush has become synonymous for people who do not know where they go, to whom and why. Now that the world has stopped, we are not in a rush anymore, nothing is necessary except for food, water, and medicine. Everything else can wait.

Every day we could be that person who will brighten someone else's day, awaken hope, and uplift faith in people when they need it the most. We will not know the outcome of this scenario until the very end, but until then, we have to outline the role of the philanthropist assigned to us.

May it be today and forever.
